Fenerbahçe's coach Ismail Kartal and Çağlar Söyüncü made statements ahead of the Olympiacos match. Ismail Kartal, prior to the crucial match in the UEFA Europa Conference League, stated, "What we've been through, whether in league matches or cup matches, is evident. Our action during the Super Cup match was a reaction. If we want certain things to change, we also want institutions to evaluate. We will continue to stay within the field."
Fenerbahçe is taking the field in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Conference League. The yellow-navy team will face a Greek team for the 9th time in its history when they visit Olympiacos.
In his statement, Ismail Kartal said, “We know the strength of Olympiacos. It’s a club with a significant presence in Greek football. We know the strong points of our opponent within our plans for the first match. We also want to reflect our strengths and return with a good score. Afterwards, we want to advance in this round at home. Olympiacos showed a more balanced game, especially in the second leg of the previous round.”
