After ‘s 6-0 victory over İstanbulspor, İsmail Kartal made some remarks. Kartal stated, “We know how the slipped away. All our , our community, and all of Turkey know this now. This happened openly.”

Here are İsmail Kartal’s statements:

“WE KNOW HOW THE CHAMPIONSHIP SLIPPED AWAY”

“There is no need to say much. From start to finish, all my players, the technical staff, our , our management, and our fans believed in becoming champions and we think we deserved it. We played a deserving game. I know what we fought against. We know how the championship slipped away. All our fans, our community, and all of Turkey know this now. This happened openly.

We couldn’t become champions with 99 points and 99 goals, but our fans congratulated us as the champions of their hearts.

I thank our believing fans, my players, my president, and my managers. I thank my team very much. I thank our community.

“SOME THINGS WERE BEYOND OUR CONTROL”

Since the beginning of the season, we did our best. We just couldn’t give them the championship, but some things were beyond our control. There is nothing we can do about off-field events. We wanted to become champions fairly on the field, but we saw that championships are not earned fairly on the field. Last week showed us the clearest example of this.

“THIS TEAM WILL DO BETTER”

Our fans and community see us as champions; they applauded us. This team will do better. We did our best, but we couldn’t overcome some things.”
