Jose Mourinho Calls for Unity in Exclusive Interview with Fenerbahçe TV
Fenerbahçe's new head coach, Jose Mourinho, stated that the community must act together.
In his remarks to the club‘s television channel, the Portuguese coach emphasized the importance of unity: “I think we need to be like a family. Players, coaches, directors, everyone must act together. Of course, this unity and support are easy in good times, but when you get a little hurt, you need to be more together. When I see this support from the fans, I can imagine the matches we will play at the stadium and away. Because I think I will feel their support. All our opponents will face a lot of difficulties. I think they will give us this strength. We will play with 12 players thanks to our fans’ power,” he said.
Jose Mourinho stressed the need to do everything they can for success, saying:
“So far, I’ve said everything I needed to say. I mentioned it in the press conference. The Fenerbahçe jersey will be like my skin. This was the message I wanted to give to everyone who will work with me. When we see the passion that the fans have, we can’t always act professionally. Because you need to go beyond professionalism. You need to put in more effort. Because we see and understand the fans’ feelings and passions. We will work for them. I believe we can achieve our goals thanks to their strength.”
Highlighting the need to fight for the fans, Mourinho said, “We will put everything we have into it. This will not be limited to just a 90-minute match. We need to fight every minute. We need to put all our strength into the training sessions as well. We need to be able to do these things to get good results. Because clubs actually belong to their fans. Because we can see their passion. Of course, we will also play for them,” he said.
