Fenerbahçe has announced that Fred, who was injured during the match against Lugano, has sustained damage to the medial collateral ligament in his right knee. Fred is expected to be out for 3-4 weeks.

Fenerbahçe issued a statement regarding Fred‘s health following his injury in the return match of the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round against Lugano.
In the statement from the yellow-dark blue club, it was mentioned that the Brazilian player sustained a medial collateral ligament injury in his right knee.
The statement read: “Our player Fred, who had to leave the game due to a blow received during our Champions League second qualifying round match against Lugano, underwent an MRI at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital. As a result of the imaging, our player was diagnosed with a medial collateral ligament injury in his right knee, and his treatment has commenced immediately.”
How Long Will He Be Out of Action?
Fred is expected to be out of action for 3-4 weeks.
The experienced player will not be able to participate in Fenerbahçe‘s matches against Lille in the third qualifying round of the Champions League.
