Fenerbahçe drew 1-1 with Lille in the second leg of the Champions League 3rd qualifying round, after extra time, and were eliminated. The Serbian player of the yellow and navy team, Dusan Tadic, made statements after the match.
Speaking to Exxen, Tadic said:
“WE GAVE AWAY AN UNLUCKY PENALTY”
“In my opinion, looking back at the first match, we shouldn’t have conceded that last goal. There were very decisive moments in both matches. Unfortunately, we gave away an unlucky penalty to our opponent. We will evaluate the negative aspects of this match and move forward.”
“THE EUROPA LEAGUE IS ALSO VERY VALUABLE TO US”
“The Champions League is important in terms of prestige, but the Europa League is also very valuable to us. We will try to go as far as we can.”
“IT DOESN’T MATTER WHICH POSITION I PLAY”
“We are soldiers of this club. Whatever our coach asks of us, we try to fulfill. It doesn’t matter to me which position I play. Wherever the coach wants, we have to do our job there. The most important thing is Fenerbahçe. We listen to what our coach asks of us and do our best.”
