Fenerbahçe Team Media Officer Alper Yemeniciler made a statement in response to Jose Mourinho‘s comments after the Lille match, where he said, “I don’t beg for transfers.”
“OUR COACH’S WORDS ARE BEING DELIBERATELY MISINTERPRETED”
In his statement, Yemeniciler said, “Our coach’s words are being deliberately misinterpreted. He has not made any comments regarding the process and has expressed his satisfaction with the steps the club has taken so far. He wants it to be known that he is on the same page as our president and the club.”
WHAT DID MOURINHO SAY?
After the Lille match, Mourinho responded to the question, “You faced issues because two of your midfielders were injured. Are you considering a transfer?” with the following:
“The players are injured, but they won’t be out for the whole season. I can’t ask for a transfer every time a player gets injured. The transfer window is still open, but I am not begging for any transfer.”
