UEFA Europa League Draw: Fenerbahçe’s Opponents Confirmed!

Continuing their journey in the UEFA Europa League, Fenerbahçe participated in the draw from the 2nd pot. Fenerbahçe’s opponents are Slavia Prague, Manchester United, Lyon, AZ Alkmaar, Union SG, Midtjylland, Athletic Bilbao, and Twente.

Starting this season, both the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League will be organized in a league format with 36 teams each, instead of the classic group format.

In the Europa League, each team will face 8 opponents, with 4 matches played at home and 4 away. In the Conference League, each team will face 6 opponents, with 3 matches at home and 3 away. Teams in both tournaments will be matched with two teams from each of the 4 pots.

Teams that finish in the top 8 in both tournaments will advance directly to the Round of 16. Teams ranked 9th to 24th in the leagues will compete in the playoff round to secure a place in the Round of 16. From the playoff round onwards, a two-legged knockout system will be applied.

The first matches of the Europa League will be played on September 25-26, and the final match is scheduled to take place on May 21, 2025, at the San Mames Stadium in Bilbao, Spain.
