Fenerbahçe defeated Antalyaspor 2-0 in a week where Galatasaray dropped points in the Süper Lig. The yellow-dark blue team closed the point gap to 3. Filip Kostic, Dusan Tadic, and Sofyan Amrabat expressed their happiness for the win in post-match interviews.
In Week 7 of the Trendyol Süper Lig, Fenerbahçe won 2-0 away against Antalyaspor. The goals for Fenerbahçe came from Dusan Tadic and an own goal by Thalisson.
By winning against Antalyaspor, Fenerbahçe reduced the point difference to 3 after Galatasaray drew 3-3 with Kasımpaşa.
After the match, Filip Kostic and Sofyan Amrabat shared their thoughts on the victory with beIN SPORTS.
Playing his first match for Fenerbahçe, Kostic said: “I really feel great. It was my first match. It was an important game for both me and the team. The 3 points were crucial. We need to continue like this. I feel more comfortable playing on the left side, but wherever the coach wants me to play, I will give my all. I’ve carried this mentality throughout my career. My contribution, and most importantly, the team’s benefit, is what matters.”
Sofyan Amrabat added, “Honestly, I don’t understand why there are expectations from people; I can play well with İsmail. He’s a fantastic player, a complete midfielder, and one of the best midfielders for the Turkish national team. Also, Fred, Sebastian, Mert Hakan—if I forgot anyone, I apologize. We have quality players. Whoever plays, we always give our best.”
Dusan Tadic said, “In my opinion, we started well in the first 10 minutes. We created chances but couldn’t capitalize on them. After that, our game changed negatively. There were moments when we rushed and started making strange decisions. In the second half, we scored, and that goal was crucial to open up the game. We scored a second, and we could have scored a third. We had our chances. Antalyaspor is a good team with a good coach. Alex de Souza, our legend, it was truly nice to see him here. It was a very important victory for us.”
