Bright Osayi-Samuel Eyes 100th League Game in Fenerbahçe’s Crucial Clash with Sivasspor

Having joined Fenerbahçe in the mid-season transfer window of 2020-2021 from Queens Park Rangers, Osayi-Samuel is now in his fifth season with the yellow and navy team. Throughout his Fenerbahçe career, the Nigerian player has appeared in 149 official matches, spending 10,347 minutes on the field. In the Trendyol Süper Lig, he has made 99 appearances, scoring six goals and assisting eight times.

One of the Team’s Longest-Serving Players

Osayi-Samuel, who joined Fenerbahçe during the 2020-2021 season, stands out as one of the longest-serving players in the squad. Among the current roster, Mert Hakan Yandaş has worn the Fenerbahçe jersey the longest, followed by İrfan Can Kahveci and Osayi-Samuel. The Nigerian’s contract is set to expire at the end of this season.

If selected for the Sivasspor match, Osayi-Samuel will make his 100th league appearance and his 11th official game this season. In the 2024-2025 season, he has played four games in the Süper Lig, three in the UEFA Europa League, and three in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers, accumulating 679 minutes on the field.

While the 26-year-old has yet to score this season, he provided an assist for Dzeko’s goal in the second-week away match against Göztepe.

His sole red card came this season in the UEFA Europa League’s opening week against Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise. After coming on in the 65th minute, he received his first yellow card in the 87th minute and was sent off in the 90th minute with a second yellow.
