Injury Concerns Grow as Fenerbahçe’s Djiku and Söyüncü Exit National Squads

In the early minutes of the match against Sivasspor, Çağlar Söyüncü was injured and had to leave the field in the 12th minute, with Alexander Djiku coming in as his replacement. Çağlar was subsequently removed from the national team squad due to his injury, and Fenerbahçe issued a statement about his condition. The Yellow-Navy Blues reported that examinations after the last league match showed strain and edema in the inner ligament of his left knee.
ANOTHER BAD NEWS FROM DJIKU
Alexander Djiku, who came on for Çağlar Söyüncü in the 12th minute, also had to leave the field due to an injury towards the end of the match. The Ghanaian defender was replaced by another center-back, Rodrigo Becao, in the 88th minute.
REMOVED FROM NATIONAL TEAM SQUAD
The Ghana Football Federation announced that eight players were removed from the squad set for matches against Angola and Niger for various reasons. Fenerbahçe’s Alexander Djiku and Başakşehir‘s Jerome Opoku were among those players. Djiku’s removal was attributed to the hamstring injury that forced him off in Fenerbahçe’s last match.
