Good News for Fenerbahçe: Djiku Set to Rejoin the Squad Against Kayserispor
Positive news has emerged regarding Alexander Djiku's recovery at Fenerbahçe.
The Ghanaian defender is reportedly in the final stages of his treatment and is expected to be available for the match against Kayserispor.
Djiku sustained an injury during the 59th minute of the Trabzonspor match, forcing him to leave the field. As a result, the 30-year-old missed the subsequent fixture against AZ Alkmaar.
After a brief treatment period, the experienced defender started on the bench for the Net Global Sivasspor match. However, he entered the game in the 11th minute to replace Çağlar Söyüncü, who suffered an early injury. Despite not fully recovering, Djiku managed to play 76 minutes before being substituted by Bartuğ in the 87th minute.
Due to his injury, Djiku was also excluded from Ghana‘s squad for their matches against Angola and Niger. According to TRT Spor, the defender has significantly recovered and is expected to feature in the upcoming Bellona Kayserispor match.
The experienced center-back has been a key figure for Fenerbahçe this season, appearing in 15 matches, 13 of which he started. Djiku has accumulated 1,126 minutes of playing time, establishing himself as a vital component of the defense.
