Merih Demiral on Fenerbahçe’s Radar – Saudi Press Confirms Negotiations!
Fenerbahçe has already begun preparations for the winter transfer window. According to a report in the Saudi press, the Yellow-Navy Blue executives are expected to travel to Saudi Arabia to negotiate the transfer of a star player.
It has been claimed that Fenerbahçe, working to strengthen their squad during the transfer window, is pursuing Merih Demiral, who currently plays for Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia.
According to Arriyadiyah, Fenerbahçe officials will travel to Saudi Arabia to meet with Al-Ahli’s management regarding Merih’s transfer.
The report further states that Fenerbahçe aims to acquire the national player either on loan or permanently. However, this transfer depends on Al-Ahli’s management as well as the Saudi League’s transfer program.
In Saudi Arabia, club transfers do not incur expenses for the clubs, as player costs are covered by the league’s transfer program.
Merih Demiral is under contract with his current club until 2026.
The 26-year-old defender has played 1262 minutes across 15 matches this season, scoring one goal.
