Barcelona Prepares Ansu Fati Swap Offer for Fenerbahçe’s Osayi-Samuel

Barcelona is reportedly preparing a new plan involving Ansu Fati, the first to wear the number 10 jersey after Lionel Messi‘s departure and dubbed the “New Messi.” Disappointed with his performances, the Catalan giant is allegedly looking to part ways with Ansu Fati and capitalize on Fenerbahçe‘s interest in the player. It has been claimed that Barcelona‘s Sporting Director Deco has drafted a report and plans to propose a swap deal to Fenerbahçe.

According to the report, Barcelona aims to leverage Fenerbahçe’s interest in Ansu Fati during the upcoming transfer window.

As reported by El Gol Digital, Fenerbahçe manager Jose Mourinho is still keen on bringing Ansu Fati to his squad. Meanwhile, Barcelona is looking to strengthen its defense using this opportunity, targeting Fenerbahçe’s star Bright Osayi-Samuel as part of the deal.

Deco is said to have identified Osayi-Samuel as the desired piece in a potential swap for Ansu Fati. If Fenerbahçe declines this proposal, Barcelona is reportedly willing to wait until the summer transfer window.

Osayi-Samuel, who has yet to sign a new contract with Fenerbahçe, could become a free agent at the end of the season. Barcelona’s alternative plan would be to pursue him for free in the summer if the swap deal does not materialize.

The decision ultimately rests with Jose Mourinho, with speculation growing over whether the experienced coach will prioritize retaining his right-back or acquiring a forward instead.

This season, Ansu Fati has played in seven matches for Barcelona, totaling 158 minutes but contributing no goals or assists. In contrast, Bright Osayi-Samuel has appeared in 13 matches for Fenerbahçe, accumulating 934 minutes and providing one assist.

According to Transfermarkt, Ansu Fati’s market value is listed at €15 million, while Osayi-Samuel’s is €8 million.
