Fenerbahçe Pressures Authorities Over Galatasaray Black Market Ticket Scandal
Fenerbahçe has issued a statement regarding allegations of Galatasaray's tickets being sold on the black market.

The Yellow Canaries stated, “For the sake of public conscience, this investigation must be thoroughly examined and concluded as required by law.”
FENERBAHÇE’S STATEMENT
“Regarding the black-market allegations involving a rival club, raised by its own members, as Fenerbahçe Sports Club, we have informed all relevant state institutions in detail and requested necessary investigations and inquiries.
The matter resurfaced today on social media and in certain media outlets following statements made by our President, Mr. Ali Y. Koç, during his recent press conference.
We regret to point out that the shortcomings in the prosecutor’s file are not limited to the witness statement that has come to the forefront today.
It is believed that the investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office concluded with a decision not to prosecute the allegations without sufficient and detailed research or an effective inquiry.
For this reason:
On December 31, 2024, our club appealed to a higher authority to overturn the prosecutor’s decision regarding this matter, which directly concerns us and involves a broader societal responsibility.
For the sake of public conscience, the investigation in question must be thoroughly examined and concluded as required by law.
If the aforementioned club believes there was no wrongdoing and considers itself innocent, it should support the deepening of the investigation to ensure justice prevails.
We trust that the judicial authorities will approach the matter with sensitivity, and we want it to be known that we will exercise all our rights and closely follow this process to its conclusion.”
