Official Statement from Fenerbahçe: “Mourinho’s Words Were Deliberately Distorted”

Galatasaray stated that they would be filing a criminal complaint against Jose Mourinho on allegations of racism. However, Fenerbahçe has firmly denied these claims and issued an official statement. The club‘s statement reads as follows:
“This statement has become necessary due to an issue that has occupied the agenda following the match between our Football Team and Galatasaray.
The remarks made by our Head Coach, José Mourinho, after the match have been deliberately distorted and taken completely out of context.
As any reasonable person can see and understand, the expression used by José Mourinho was solely intended to describe the excessive reactions of the opposing team’s technical staff to referee decisions during the match. It has no connection whatsoever with racism.
Trying to portray this remark as a racist statement is a completely malicious approach. We inform the public that we will exercise our legal rights regarding this baseless accusation, which is nothing more than a desperate attempt to take the rivalry off the pitch, manipulate the agenda, and create misdirection.”
