Mourinho: “Djiku, Diego, and Yusuf Injured – Mimovic Won’t Be Registered”

Fenerbahçe head coach Jose Mourinho addressed the injuries that plagued his team during their 5-0 victory over Erzurumspor in the Ziraat Turkish Cup. The Portuguese manager also announced a decision regarding new signing Mimovic.

Mourinho’s Post-Match Comments:

“The first half wasn’t easy. They defended well, but we still managed to score. In the second half, we had to increase the intensity and tempo of the game. We scored more goals, and our aim was to reach six points. However, I believe we still need more points to qualify from the group, and that will remain our goal.”

“We have to wait to assess the injuries. Djiku suffered a muscle injury, while Diego and Yusuf have knee issues. We’ll have MRI scans tomorrow to determine their conditions. Right now, we have Skriniar and Çağlar available, and Mert Müldür will be back, possibly as a center-back option. These things happen in football, and we’ll keep moving forward.”

Mimovic Will Not Be Included in Any Squad List

“Mimovic will likely not be registered in any squad list, either for Europe or the league. As you know, there is a foreign player limit in Turkey.”
