Security measures increased in Belgium ahead of Anderlecht vs. Fenerbahçe Europa League Match – Fenerbahçe fans banned from using the metro.

Fenerbahçe will face Anderlecht in Belgium for the second leg of the UEFA Europa League Play-off round.

With the match set to take place on February 20, heightened security measures have been implemented in Brussels.

Due to recent armed clashes in the Anderlecht district of Brussels, the match has been classified as high-risk, prompting authorities to strengthen security precautions.

Belgian media quoted a security official from the Central Brussels Region, stating that police will be stationed at critical points across the city.

As part of the measures, 920 Turkish fans attending the match have been banned from using the metro. Instead, they will be transported to the stadium via designated buses.

Anderlecht and Fenerbahçe will face off in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, February 20. In the first leg played in Istanbul, Fenerbahçe secured a 3-0 victory over Anderlecht.
