Mourinho: “If You Don’t Score, You Can’t Win”

In Matchweek 28 of the Trendyol Süper Lig, Fenerbahçe and Reeder Samsunspor played to a 0-0 draw at Ülker Stadium. With this result, the yellow-navy blues increased their points tally to 62. Fenerbahçe, with one game in hand, narrowed the gap to 9 points behind Galatasaray.
Fenerbahçe head coach Jose Mourinho shared his thoughts on the game with beIN SPORTS.
“We didn’t score. It was impossible for us to lose because we didn’t give away any clear chances. At the start of the second half, our energy levels dropped, so I made some changes. Emotionally, some players showed signs of having played 120 minutes just two days ago. We created some very important chances. In fact, not scoring was harder to believe. But if you don’t score, you can’t win. You have to score to get the three points.”
When asked, “Do you think there’s still a chance to win the title?” the Portuguese manager simply replied, “Yes.”
