Osayi-Samuel: “Transfer News Doesn’t Affect Me, Focused on Fenerbahçe”

Fenerbahçe will host Switzerland’s Lugano team in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round. Fenerbahçe’s defender Bright Osayi-Samuel expressed his excitement about playing their first match in front of their fans.

Osayi-Samuel, who will go into the match with a one-goal advantage, said, “Tomorrow’s match is very important. It will be our first home match, and I am excited for it. My relationship with everyone in the team is good. We have a great group. Djiku and Jayden are two of my close friends. We want to reflect this closeness on the field and make a difference. The 26-year-old player mentioned that Mourinho can sometimes be intimidating, saying, “Mourinho is intimidating but also very nice. It’s a great honor to work with him. I want to learn about the players’ pasts. He instills confidence in the players. I think I will learn a lot while working with him this year. I want to improve in terms of goals and assists. I enjoy playing with players like Tadic and İrfan. It gives me the opportunity to run behind the defense, which increases my chances of scoring and assisting.”

Every player wants to reach the best possible point, and right now I am working with the best coach and believe in my dream. My position has changed; I was playing as a winger in the first meeting.
