Salvatore Foti’s Press Conference: “Our Confidence Is High for the Upcoming Matches”

Fenerbahçe Assistant Coach Salvatore Foti made statements following the team's league victory against Antalyaspor.

Speaking at the press conference held after the match at Ülker Stadium, Foti said:
“It was a good match for us. We started fast in the first half, playing to score. After finding the first goal, we pushed to increase the lead and finished the half with a three-goal advantage. In the second half, we focused on maintaining the score because this was a must-win game for us.”

Milan Skriniar

Assessing Milan Skriniar’s performance, Foti commented:
“He is always a very important player for us. He helps the team a lot. I have known him for a long time; we worked together at Sampdoria when he was young. The club did a great job bringing him in. He is extremely valuable and works very hard in training. We are happy to have a player like him.”

Youssef En-Nesyri

On Youssef En-Nesyri’s role and mindset, Foti said:
“There are no issues with him. Youssef is a player who always wants to play and score. Our coach wanted to substitute him early to give him some rest before the European matches. Naturally, at 3-0, there was a bit of unintentional relaxation, but the important thing was that we maintained control of the game. We didn’t allow many shots from our opponent. Winning was crucial, and the team delivered the required performance. We are happy with that.”

Expressing his satisfaction with the team’s overall development, Foti concluded:
“With the new system, we are improving both defensively and offensively. We are presenting a compact structure and getting better with each passing day. We continue to work on this system in both attack and defense. The players have embraced it very well, but I still believe we have room for improvement. The next match is always the most important one, so we need to stay focused on what’s ahead.”
