Fenerbahçe club statement about team doctor Ertuğrul Karanlık

Fenerbahçe has released a statement regarding the allegations concerning the Head of the Fenerbahçe Health Department and Team Doctor, Ertuğrul Karanlık.

The statement, issued on Fenerbahçe’s official website, reads as follows:

“Due to speculations that have arisen on social media and later been reflected in traditional media regarding our team doctor, Ertuğrul Karanlık, it has become necessary to make a statement.

The treatment processes within our club are conducted professionally under the supervision of our team doctor, taking into consideration the positions of injuries, and consultations with domestic and international specialists, depending on the nature of the injuries.

All our players have the right to consult other specialists regarding their conditions, apart from the club’s recommended treatment program.

Diagnoses and treatment periods for injuries, mostly resulting from impacts since the beginning of the season, have been carried out within the predicted limits, and none of our players have required treatment outside the club.

We would like to emphasize that our club has full confidence in our doctors and health team.

We expect our fans, especially in light of the recent unrealistic statements made by former players and some commentators who have come to the forefront in recent days, not to take these statements into consideration.

Considering the past affiliations of the mentioned commentators and former players, the purpose behind the agenda being created will be clearly seen.

Protecting our team from such speculations, attacks, and lies that aim to disturb the internal peace of our team and community, which is focused on the season’s goals, is one of our community’s most important responsibilities.

Therefore, we kindly request not to take these speculations seriously.”
