Our energy to win was high from the beginning to the end of the match. We could have played a bit more controlled. As we missed chances, we said, ‘Let’s score immediately,’ and the game turned into an exchange. Normally, we don’t give away this many opportunities. We will analyze this match, discuss it with our players. In the end, we won 5-1 and got the 3 points.”

The experienced head coach continued his words, saying, “The way to win is through scoring goals. That’s why we are trying to increase our attacking options. Today, we added 2 new options. This will continue until the end of the season.”

“Crucial for Cengiz”

Evaluating Cengiz Ünder’s 4-goal performance, İsmail Kartal said, “Cengiz scoring 4 goals today was crucial for him. I believe that with the goals he scored today, his self-confidence will surpass. I think he will enter more confident matches from now on. There is also İrfan and Emre Mor. They are all trying to do their best. We will evaluate each of them game by game.”

“We go out to win every match”

Stating that they go out to win every match, Kartal said, “We are a team playing for the championship. A team playing for the championship needs to score goals and win. We go out to win every match. As a head coach, I need to put forth a strong game. We are working hard in this direction. Our players respond to these efforts. They are all upset about not doing more. This also makes me very happy.”

“We are currently the leaders, and the advantage is ours”

Asserting that they have the advantage in the championship race, İsmail Kartal said, “I don’t agree that the advantage was seized after the match that ended in a draw in the derbies.
