Fenerbahçe Targets Roma Star Nicola Zalewski for January Transfer
Fenerbahçe has accelerated its transfer efforts ahead of the winter window, with Nicola Zalewski reportedly emerging as a key target. It is noted that Mario Branco will take charge of negotiations for the Roma player.
Under Jose Mourinho’s guidance, Fenerbahçe’s management is intensifying transfer activities. According to reports, the Süper Lig giant is focused on Roma’s Nicola Zalewski.
The negotiations for the 22-year-old Polish player will reportedly be led by Mario Branco, who, along with Mourinho, has been working on a shortlist of 7-8 players. Mourinho is said to value Zalewski’s versatility and is eager to add him to the squad.
Zalewski’s contract with Roma is set to expire at the end of the season, and he is not expected to sign an extension. The Italian club is reportedly open to selling him during the January transfer window to secure a transfer fee, with an asking price of €5-6 million.
Fenerbahçe sees Zalewski’s expiring contract as a bargaining advantage. This season, the Polish player has appeared in 10 matches for Roma, logging 588 minutes and contributing one assist.
