After Fenerbahçe's 1-0 victory over Galatasaray, President Ali Koç and board members arrived at RAMS Park. Following the Fenerbahçe players raising a flag in the middle of the field, a scuffle broke out between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray officials.

During the on-field altercation, President Ali Koç and all Fenerbahçe officials present at the stadium were on the ground, while it was observed that Galatasaray Secretary General Eray Yazgan, stadium manager, officials, and President Dursun Özbek’s driver were assaulted.
The Fenerbahçe team experienced great joy after the victory over Galatasaray. While the yellow-navy team went to their fans, foreign objects were thrown from the stands, but the police, along with shields, prevented any security breaches.
After a while in the dressing room, the yellow-navy team returned to the field. While Galatasaray fans had left the stadium, the away team fans were detained in the stadium for security reasons for a while longer.
