Expressing strong reaction to the incidents in statements published in Karadeniz Gazetesi, Yılmaz said, “This doesn’t suit us at all, coming to the stadium prepared is an organization. Those who did this should not go unpunished. Why do they come to Trabzon for such provocations? They filled the pitch with bottles every minute! Security vulnerability one, entry vulnerability two, premeditation three. What were they trying to do? Fenerbahçe didn’t do anything! Whoever plays, wins, there can be minor mistakes in the match.”

Yılmaz, stating that those responsible should be punished immediately, said, “There’s already a 30-point gap, what’s the point of exaggerating like this? If those who claim to want the best for Trabzonspor are the rascals filling these stands, they should have done it earlier. Before there was a 30-point gap… I’m very upset, very disappointed. It didn’t suit us at all. We’re 30 points behind, this is not like us at all! Why are we making this a complex?” and concluded his words.
