Bright Osayi-Samuel, Fenerbahçe's Nigerian player, made striking statements about the turbulent match between Trabzonspor and Fenerbahçe.
Osayi-Samuel spoke for the first time about the incident where he punched a fan who entered the field after the match.
According to a report from the Nigerian press, Score Nigeria, Samuel stated, “The fans attacked the team, some of them had weapons. I had to defend my team; it was self-defense, that’s what happened.”
The yellow-blue player said, “My teammates had cuts and bruises on their bodies. Some were really scared, some joined me to defend the team.”
