Fenerbahçe Demands Answers: Serious Allegations About Göztepe Attacker
Fenerbahçe Sports Club has released another statement regarding the incidents that occurred during the Göztepe match.
The statement from the Yellow-Navy Blues concerning the events during the Göztepe away match is as follows:
“QUESTIONS TO THE AUTHORITIES”
During our football team’s away match against Göztepe, it has been reported today in some media outlets that the individual named Fatih Özkan, who cowardly attacked our President Ali Y. Koç from behind, is a criminal with a long record. These allegations must be taken seriously.
As a result of these allegations, we ask the authorities:
1-) Are the allegations true that this individual has such an extensive criminal record?
2-) If the allegations are true, how can it be explained that such an individual was accredited by Göztepe SK and allowed to be on the sidelines during the match?
3-) While the media and public debate whether a club president can be on the sidelines during a match, is it not highly suspicious that this individual, allegedly with a lengthy criminal record, is not questioned for being on the sidelines?
4-) After the treacherous and cowardly attack, why was no action taken against this individual after being caught? How was this person able to watch the remainder of the match, and how did they leave the stadium freely, shaking hands with law enforcement?
5-) Where does the audacity for such lawlessness and disregard for the rules come from?
We expect all relevant parties and authorities to answer these questions.
