Mourinho’s Press Conference: “We Came Here for 3 Points” Despite Limited Squad
Fenerbahçe Head Coach Jose Mourinho spoke at a press conference ahead of the UEFA Europa League match against Slavia Prague.
Reminding everyone that they traveled to the Slavia Prague match with only 15 outfield players, Mourinho stated, “There are already 10 players on the field, so I have 5 players on the bench to bring into the game. We won’t have any issues when making substitutions,” he said.
Mourinho’s Remarks Before the Slavia Prague-Fenerbahçe Match
When asked, “Who are the key players in Slavia Prague that might pose challenges?”, Mourinho responded:
“I won’t answer that because it doesn’t make sense. It’s not about any individual player; they are strong as a team. They have been playing the same style for years. They are a physical and high-tempo team. They are not an easy opponent to face. For me, it’s about the team, not individual players.”
“WE CAME HERE FOR 3 POINTS”
Responding to a question about the team’s missing players, the Portuguese coach said:
“I have many players unavailable, not just Amrabat. I have players who are suspended and injured. We came here with a limited squad, but as Fred said, we are here for 3 points. The funny part is that we have only 15 outfield players, excluding goalkeepers. There are already 10 players on the field, so I have 5 substitutes available. We won’t have any problems making substitutions. We need to laugh at this situation. Those who play will give their best, and I trust them.”
Mourinho concluded his remarks with these comments.
