Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s Name Engraved on Fenerbahçe Stadium
Fenerbahçe Club announced that the name of the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk has started to be inscribed on the roof of Ülker Stadium.
According to the statement from Fenerbahçe Club, the project to inscribe the name of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, on the roof of the Ülker Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex has begun. This initiative was proposed by Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç during the Ordinary Election General Assembly in June.
As part of the project, Atatürk’s name was engraved on the roof above the Fenerium stand. On Tuesday, November 26, the laser marking and drawing process for the inscription began, and on Saturday, November 30, the painting process was completed.
The writing was applied using a special resin-based, flexible, and weather-resistant paint on the membrane roof covering. The letters of the Atatürk inscription are 12 meters tall, and the painting process extended into the late hours of the night.
The roof above the Marathon stand will be completed on Tuesday, December 3, with the inscription “Mustafa Kemal.” The letters of “Mustafa Kemal” will have a height of 8.5 meters. The total area for the inscriptions and paint in the project will cover 2,500 square meters.
