TFF to Meet with Fenerbahçe and Kasımpaşa Over Turkish Cup Withdrawal
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has announced that it will meet with Fenerbahçe and Kasımpaşa in Riva to discuss their decision not to participate in the Ziraat Turkish Cup.
In a statement, the TFF said that President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu will meet with the presidents of the two clubs on Monday, December 16, at 10:00 AM.
The statement also emphasized, “We reiterate that the Turkish football family will become stronger by uniting in every arena rather than dividing, and we respectfully share this with the public.”
What Happened?
Before the 5th round draw of the Ziraat Turkish Cup, Fenerbahçe and Kasımpaşa informed the TFF of their decision not to participate in this season’s competition.
The TFF had previously announced that the relevant committees of the federation would make the necessary evaluations on the matter.
