FENERBAHÇE’S STATEMENT
“ENOUGH INJUSTICE! WE DEMAND A SOLUTION”
As of the 17th week of the Süper Lig, the extent to which referees intervene in matches and results has become undeniable.
This season, which began under the banner of “justice in football,” has turned into a disgraceful spectacle, especially with scandalous referee decisions in our matches.
Turkish football is being systematically destroyed, particularly through VAR referees, despite the efforts of the Turkish Football Federation and the protests of teams suffering from injustice.
Mistakes consistently benefit a specific team, openly granting them an advantage in the title race.
In our match against İkas Eyüpspor, blatant errors led to the opponent finishing the match without any dismissals despite clear fouls. Additionally, two obvious and indisputable penalties for our team were ignored by the VAR referees, resulting in what can only be described as a referee massacre.
Turkish football cannot be sacrificed to these systematic attacks and the ensuing decay, which cannot simply be dismissed as errors.
As Fenerbahçe Sports Club, we do not accept this disgrace. We demand justice and the immediate assignment of foreign referees to officiate matches.”
