Fenerbahçe Stars Tadic, Yüksek, and Yandaş Share Thoughts After Europa League Progress

After Fenerbahçe secured their place in the UEFA Europa League playoffs with a 2-2 draw against Midtjylland, Dusan Tadic expressed his satisfaction:

“We managed to qualify, and that’s the most important thing. The team showed character. We created good chances, and everyone fought for each other,” Tadic said.

Fenerbahçe will face either Bodo/Glimt or Anderlecht in the next round.

Following the match, Fenerbahçe players İsmail Yüksek, Dusan Tadic, and Mert Hakan Yandaş shared their thoughts.

İsmail Yüksek stated:
“I congratulate my team. We want to go as far as possible in Europe. We have big dreams. We could have won this match as well. We need to secure more decisive victories. It was my first time playing a full 90 minutes after a long break, and I am ready to play wherever needed.”

Tadic added:
“We knew it was going to be a tough match, on a difficult pitch, against a strong opponent. The most important thing is that we advanced. The team showed character, we created good chances, and everyone fought for each other. Sometimes, it has to be like this.”

“One of the Worst Pitches I’ve Ever Played On”

Mert Hakan Yandaş also commented:
“The pitch was one of the worst I’ve ever played on. We tried to play more result-oriented football. We are happy to qualify. Regarding my hand injury, everyone I spoke to said I needed surgery. I have a fracture, but I didn’t want to be away from the team. With so many absences, I felt I needed to be here. We are always ready to contribute.”
