Szymanski: “We Must Play Like We Did in the First Match”

Ahead of Fenerbahçe’s UEFA Europa League Round of 16 playoff second leg against Anderlecht, Sebastian Szymanski shared his thoughts.

“WE MUST PLAY LIKE WE DID IN THE FIRST MATCH”

Emphasizing the importance of the game, Szymanski said, “It will be an important match for us. We must not forget that Anderlecht is a good team. We played well in the first match, but we need to perform the same way tomorrow. We have great respect for our opponent.”

JOSE MOURINHO’S COMMENT

When asked about Mourinho’s previous remark, “If I had two Szymanskis, I would play both,” Szymanski responded, “I feel the same way as before. It feels good when a coach like him says such things about you. Personally, I just aim to give my best performance and help my teammates as much as possible.”

The Polish midfielder added, “I always try to do my job. I do my best for these colors. I never had a dream of scoring the club’s 4000th goal, but I had a feeling I would score.
