Eğribayat: “We Stay Compact as a Team, Preventing Chances”

In the Trendyol Süper Lig, Fenerbahçe defeated Antalyaspor 3-0 with goals from Mert Müldür, Tadic, and En Nesyri. Fenerbahçe’s goalkeeper İrfan Can Eğribayat shared his thoughts on the victory.

İrfan Can Eğribayat said, “Our playing system is starting to fully settle in. We also have good communication in defense; we talk constantly. That’s why things are going well, and the players are really running, especially the right and left backs. Since dynamic players are playing in those positions, we don’t leave gaps. As a team, we fight well. It’s not just about the defense; in the positions we play at the back, we stay compact as a team. This prevents the opponent from creating chances. Hopefully, we can continue like this. Of course, people have expectations. Like everyone else, I would love to be there. But it’s the coaches’ decision. There are very talented goalkeepers, and they all get playing time. It’s up to the coaches; of course, I would like to be there, but as I said, my desire alone is not enough. It’s in the hands of our coaches, so let’s hope for the best.”
