Fenerbahçe’s Szymanski Speaks at Press Conference: “Team’s Motivation and Confidence Are High”

Sebastian Szymanski, alongside coach Jose Mourinho, made statements at the press conference ahead of Fenerbahçe's UEFA Europa League third-week match against Manchester United tomorrow.

Fenerbahçe’s Polish star Sebastian Szymanski said the following:

SEBASTIAN SZYMANSKI: THE TEAM’S MOTIVATION AND CONFIDENCE ARE HIGH

Commenting on the match and answering questions, Sebastian Szymanski stated:
“The team’s motivation is the same as it is for every game. Tomorrow, we will play a new match. The draw we conceded in the final minutes disappointed us, but as I mentioned, tomorrow is a new match, and we will certainly play for three points. The team’s motivation and confidence are high. Let’s see how we will respond on the field after that draw. I am sure we will respond well and play good football.”

“As a footballer, you must always know that you can’t score in every match. As you pointed out, I had a great start to last season in terms of goals and assists. Right now, if you look, I’m still scoring for the national team. This doesn’t make a difference to me because I don’t think my performance has changed at all. Maybe, yes, I’ve been unlucky in terms of goals and assists, but that’s not important to me. The most important thing is that the team wins three points, and as long as the team wins, I do my best. What matters to me is that the people around me are satisfied with my performance, not those outside.”

“I don’t want to talk about the pitches because you have to play on every kind of surface. Sometimes it can be difficult to play on those surfaces, and injuries can happen. We’re sorry for Jayden’s injury, but as a team, we are supporting him in the best way possible. I hope everything goes well during his recovery process. His teammates’ support is with him.”
