Edin Dzeko: Our fans deserve the best because we are the best
Fenerbahçe hosted Union Saint-Gilloise in Istanbul in the UEFA Conference League Round of 16. Despite losing 1-0 at home, Fenerbahçe, who won the first leg 3-0, advanced to the quarter-finals. Fenerbahçe's Bosnian Star Edin Dzeko made statements after the match.
Assessing the game, Edin Dzeko said he was not satisfied with the performance.
“The only positive thing today is that we made it to the quarter-finals. We are a big club, but our performance today was not good. Whoever comes in the quarter-finals has a chance to become champions. Regardless of the opponent, we should not play like we did today. We are happy to be here. I thank the fans. Let them continue to believe in us. These fans deserve the best because we are the best.”
