Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç Reacts to Turkish Football Federation!
The Fenerbahçe Administration and U19 Team have arrived in Şanlıurfa for the 2023 Super Cup match against Galatasaray.
Before the match, Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç made remarks.
In his statement, Ali Koç said, “The current situation has greatly weakened Fenerbahçe A team’s chances by not bringing them here. It has been done in line with the values it believes in. The lynching attempt against our players in the last away game, the three championships stolen through coercion in the final weeks, the assassination attempt. Especially the fact that the assassination attempt is still unsolved. Nine years have passed, there is still no progress. The trials opened during the July 3 process have still not concluded. All these evils, strange incidents happening to one club alone, the normalization of events, have brought Fenerbahçe Sports Club to a point of rebellion. Whether we like it or not, today we are taking the first steps in Şanlıurfa. Evil has become brazen and continues to grow because this trend has not been stopped. I especially recommend Fenerbahçe fans to listen carefully to my words today. The winner of this strange, suspicious process is already clear. Our protest today is not only relevant to the timing of our stance in the Super Cup or the incidents in the last away game.”
Continuing his words, Fenerbahçe President said, “I especially recommend Fenerbahçe fans to listen carefully to my words today. The winner of this strange, suspicious process is already clear. Our protest today is not only relevant to the timing of our stance in the Super Cup or the incidents in the last away game.”
ALİ KOÇ: “THERE HAS BEEN A NETWORK DESIGNING THE COURSE OF THE LEAGUE FOR YEARS”
Ali Koç said, “After the Trabzonspor match, we did not receive a single message of condolence. Not from TFF either. That’s not important. The important part is, leaving aside the messages, some of our rivals openly worked for Fenerbahçe players to receive penalties. Of course, TFF, unable to withstand this pressure, ensured that two of our players received penalties. What punishment will be given to those who couldn’t ensure security? TFF remains in place. Nothing happens to the governor or the police chief. The referee gets full marks. What message should we take from this? There has been a network in Turkish football for years that designs the course of the league through referees. Does betting have anything to do with this?”
In continuation of his words, Ali Koç said, “The governor and the security officials did not take the necessary precautions for a match that was expected to be tense. Didn’t they foresee the events escalating? An experienced state official could easily foresee where the match could lead.”
ALİ KOÇ’S CRITICISM OF TFF
The Fenerbahçe president said, “In this regard, hopefully, our club’s rightful protest will ignite what needs to be done. It is time for impartiality, for fair competition to come to the fore. Even if you wanted to, planned, and schemed, you couldn’t fit so many events into the same season. What else needs to happen for you to look in the mirror and confront yourself? They are even far from planning a match. A normal federation waits until March 15, then schedules the calendar according to the situation of advancing in the cup. The distances Olympiakos will travel are not the same as the back and forth distance in Şanlıurfa. This is not an ordinary league match. It could go into extra time. We said don’t postpone the Karagümrük match, postpone this match. They said we can’t postpone it by making an excuse of our opponent. Karagümrük doesn’t want it either. What are you going to do about that? They say we’ll take care of it. You have the power against Karagümrük, you don’t have the power against Galatasaray, is that so?”
GALATASARAY STATEMENTS
Ali Koç said about their rivals, “They have sowed the seeds for years and created this environment. They are so skillful in achieving their goals that they have established a system for themselves from TFF to committees, to referees, by creating threats. I don’t find what they said about Şanlıurfa sincere at all. I don’t find their messages of friendship sincere at all. The thing I like the most, the thing I admire, they create an environment that will turn everything in their favor. Champions League. It’s like giving medicine to a dead patient to criticize this mindset. They are more concerned with our matches than their own matches. We owe it to the Fenerbahçe fans in Şanlıurfa. Fenerbahçe Club bought all the tickets.”
2010/2011 SUPER CUP FINAL
Ali Koç said, “The party that wanted the unplayable cup to be played is Fenerbahçe Club. I spoke with the Beşiktaş president. We will request that the 2010/2011 Super Cup match be played in Şanlıurfa. We are relying on the understanding of the people of Şanlıurfa.”
In his continued remarks, Ali Koç said, “The broadcasting institution, instead of honestly and fairly narrating the events, has been broadcasting against us for hours. I know what you want to do. Let the Turkish Cup be yours. A format that does not exist in the world is coming to the Turkish Cup next season. You have made a strange broadcast for the last three days to polarize our community and agitate the people of Şanlıurfa. Your credit is over for us.”
Continuing Ali Koç’s words;
“Do you know all U19 matches were played on Saturday but our match was moved to Sunday? We applied to play the U19 match on Saturday. You didn’t accept it. Did you not accept it to create difficulties for Fenerbahçe? I ask our community to be very careful, to be awake. You have seen how much you have been polarized in three days.
We said we would evaluate everything about withdrawing from the league. They did not want to sacrifice the effort of this season. We said we would evaluate the necessary steps at the General Assembly next season. We are doing that too.
We learned that there will be elections in TFF when we came here. It is proof that they do not understand football, or they have an intelligent plan according to themselves. When July 18 comes, the newly elected management will not be able to make the right plans before the season. It would have been better if there were no elections on July 18. Notice they don’t say they won’t be candidates. What clubs want today is for this TFF not to continue.
Is it not enough for you that we take the field when we are at our best in the Super Cup, and if our coach wants to withdraw when we are 2-0 ahead against Trabzonspor? We will publish a manifesto about clean football. The roadmap is clear. The biggest deficiency is merit. The biggest reason for this is that TFF elections are no longer independent. The committees are the same, take a look at their structures. We need names who burn with a passion for football and will manage football impartially.
If the flag bearer had stabbed my player with that flag, what would we be talking about today? Would the governor still be in office? Be careful, I am not targeting Trabzonspor. Both sides are making very careful statements. Two clubs are being brought face to face. Why were there no police in the stadium? Someone has to explain that to us.”
