Post-Derby Tensions: Fenerbahçe Responds to Galatasaray’s Statements
Fenerbahçe has responded to statements from the Galatasaray camp following the derby. Fenerbahçe addressed the comments made by Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek and Vice President of Galatasaray Sportive A.Ş. Erden Timur after Fenerbahçe's 1-0 victory over Galatasaray.
The Yellow-Navy Blues stated, “The main reason for the numerous contradictory statements made by the current president, various officials, and the presidential candidate after our derby victory is the inability to accept the match result.”
STATEMENT
We have been closely following the agenda created by the rival team members after the match on Sunday, May 19, which ended in our team’s 1-0 victory.
In light of the increasing and increasingly strange complaints from our rivals after the match, we would like to say the following:
The main reason for the numerous contradictory statements made by the current president, various officials, and the presidential candidate after our derby victory is the inability to accept the match result.
Despite everything being presented exactly as they wanted, with our team unfairly reduced to 10 players early in the match, and despite this, Fenerbahçe‘s victory, the match demonstrated to all of Turkey who truly deserved the win.
