Ali Koç Criticizes System, Outlines Future Plans for Fenerbahçe

Koç made several statements regarding current issues. He mentioned the inability to overcome the system and discussed plans for the next season’s transfer strategy.

Ali Koç’s statements are as follows:

“I can assure you that if another candidate wins, we will do everything we can to unite the community.

We had an extraordinary season. Anyone who says ‘Fenerbahçe had a bad season’ is not well-intentioned.

“IF WE SCORED 102 POINTS, THEY WOULD HAVE GIVEN THE OPPONENT 103 POINTS”

We didn’t become champions. Even if we had scored 102 points, they would have given our opponent 103 points. We beat everyone, but once again, we couldn’t overcome the system.

I want to thank our technical team and players for the extraordinary season they gave us.

Do you know how many times the 90-point threshold has been surpassed? Twice consecutively in the late 1980s, once by Fenerbahçe, once by Galatasaray. Apart from that, there hasn’t been another 90-point season.

They received 4 red cards in Europe, but only 1 in the entire Süper Lig season.

“I AM MUCH MORE DETERMINED AND CONFIDENT”

Personally, I am much more determined and confident. In the last two years, as we broke free from shackles, you saw how well we assembled teams and brought in good coaches, yet we couldn’t beat the system.

Hopefully, we need to add 3-4, at most 5 players to this squad. For instance, we had issues on the wings, so we need to add players there.
