Mourinho added, “We played against a good that fought well, but we are playing against the system. I’m speaking on behalf of all . That’s why we celebrated with such passion. They only told me half the story before I came. If I’d known the whole story, I wouldn’t have come.”

Jose Mourinho: “Was the Referee Having Coffee?”

Continuing his remarks, Mourinho said, “If the system comes at us even harder, my words will vanish into thin air. Take the incident involving Bright, for example. Was the VAR referee having coffee at that moment? Did he not see it? Or in the situation where he should have given us a penalty, was he having tea? Is that why he missed it? I’m not from here. You Turks need to discuss these things, not me. You need to talk the years of injustice. We are clean.”
