Fenerbahçe’s Late-Night Response: “Our Spoiled Rival Sends an Order-Like Warning!”
In the 21st week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, Galatasaray faced Konyaspor. The match at RAMS Park ended with Galatasaray securing a 1-0 victory thanks to a penalty goal by Osimhen.

Following the match, Fenerbahçe responded to statements made by Galatasaray after the game with a post on their X account at 01:46 a.m.
Fenerbahçe’s post read as follows:
“Our rival, who ranks first in being spoiled by referee decisions, has sent a warning ‘like an order’ to the referee of our match against Göztepe in an attempt to cover up the red cards they were not shown.
To the referee of the match, who has not hesitated in the past to defend the rights of the other side during referee meetings… Your priority is Turkish football—not those who, for their own benefit, try to pressure you and undermine the hard work and efforts of our coach and players.
Today’s officiating will reveal where you stand. Let us remind you that the presence of our community, which has repeatedly demonstrated its unwavering resolve throughout its glorious history, will be felt today in Kadıköy.
Against those who panic as they realize the structure they have built will change, we invite our fans to support the team for the full 90 minutes.
Unite, fight, and victory will be ours.”
What Did Galatasaray Say?
Galatasaray’s Vice President Metin Öztürk and head coach Okan Buruk made remarks about the upcoming Fenerbahçe vs. Göztepe match following their victory over Konyaspor.
After the Konyaspor match, Metin Öztürk stated:
“Tomorrow, our rival in second place has their match. Göztepe previously played a tough match against us and against Beşiktaş. They have hopes of qualifying for Europe. I’m sure we’ll witness a great game tomorrow. Let’s hope the referee of the match doesn’t repeat the mistake made during our match against Fenerbahçe in their stadium, where we completely dominated them. If it weren’t for the referee’s error, the match could have ended 7-0 or 8-0. But it’s okay; we focus on what’s ahead. At the end of the season, Galatasaray will be champions again. And we’ll prepare for the next season with this motivation.”
Galatasaray Coach Okan Buruk: “We’ll Be Watching Closely”
Okan Buruk commented on the referee team for the Fenerbahçe vs. Göztepe match:
“We’ll watch tomorrow’s game. Göztepe, a team competing for Europe, played well against us and Beşiktaş. It will be a tough match. Looking at the referee decisions from the past two weeks, with the change in the MHK structure, we’ve seen poor performances from foreign VAR officials. This was clear in our rival’s game. We’ll keep an eye on this match, its referee, and the VAR official. We’ll be watching closely from the TV.”
