Youssef En-Nesyri Keeps Scoring: 5th Goal in Europe!

Fenerbahçe's Moroccan Striker Youssef En-Nesyri Continues His Scoring Streak Against Anderlecht. With 13 goals in the Süper Lig and 3 in domestic cup competitions, En-Nesyri increased his tally to 5 goals in Europe.

Fenerbahçe secured a commanding advantage ahead of the second leg after a dominant 3-0 victory over Belgium’s Anderlecht in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 play-off.

Starting strong at Ülker Stadium, Fenerbahçe took the lead in the 11th minute through Dusan Tadic. After scoring, the Yellow-Navy Blues sat back, allowing Anderlecht more possession but keeping them away from goal. Struggling to push forward, Fenerbahçe doubled their lead in the 42nd minute with Edin Dzeko’s goal, entering halftime with a 2-0 advantage.

Continuing their dominance in the second half, Fenerbahçe made it 3-0 in the 57th minute thanks to Youssef En-Nesyri. Just two minutes later, Yusuf Akçiçek struck the post, missing out on a goal. The team maintained control for the remainder of the match, securing a crucial win before the return leg on February 20 in Belgium.

En-Nesyri Picks Up Where He Left Off

Fenerbahçe’s Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri continued his impressive form, adding another goal to his tally against Anderlecht.

Heading into this match, he had netted 14 goals in his last 11 appearances but missed the Alanyaspor game due to suspension.

Now boasting 13 goals in the Süper Lig, 3 in domestic cup competitions, and 5 in Europe, En-Nesyri remains a key offensive weapon for Fenerbahçe.

Yusuf Denied by the Woodwork

Fenerbahçe’s young talent Yusuf Akçiçek was unlucky against Anderlecht, hitting the post twice.

The 19-year-old delivered an impressive attacking performance and looked dangerous from set pieces.

His headers in the 10th and 59th minutes both struck the post, denying him a well-deserved goal.

Dzeko Hits 7th European Goal

Fenerbahçe’s veteran striker Edin Dzeko netted his 7th goal in European competition this season.

The 38-year-old has 12 goals in the Süper Lig and had previously scored 4 times in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers.

Having already found the net against Slavia Prague and Midtjylland in the Europa League group stage, Dzeko added Anderlecht to his list of European victims.

His total goal tally for the season now stands at 19.

Tadic Keeps Delivering

Fenerbahçe’s experienced playmaker Dusan Tadic continued his impressive attacking contributions against Anderlecht.

The 36-year-old Serbian now has 8 goals and 10 assists in the Süper Lig, while his Europa League tally increased to 2 after also scoring against Twente.

Tadic has also registered 2 assists in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers and 1 assist in the Europa League, proving his influence in Fenerbahçe’s attacking play.
