Fenerbahçe and Turkish football legend: Lefter Küçükandonyadis is commemorated on the 13th anniversary of his passing.

Legendary figure of Fenerbahçe and Turkish football, known as “Ordinaryüs”, Lefter Küçükandonyadis, is remembered on the 13th anniversary of his passing.
Born in Istanbul on December 22, 1925, Lefter played for the yellow-navy team from 1947 to 1964.
Lefter, who left a mark on Turkish football with championships at Fenerbahçe, scored 423 goals in 615 matches wearing the yellow-navy jersey. He also represented the Turkish national team 50 times.
Scoring a total of 832 goals in his career, Lefter became immortalized in Turkish football history with the slogan “Give it to Lefter, write it down.”
Played for Fiorentina and Nice
Lefter Küçükandonyadis also played abroad for Fiorentina in Italy and Nice in France, and for one season, he served as player-coach for a team in Johannesburg, South Africa.
After ending his active career in the 1965-1966 season, the legendary figure of Turkish football went on to coach at Samsunspor, Boluspor, Orduspor, Sivasspor, and Mersin İdmanyurdu.
Lefter Küçükandonyadis, one of the greatest and symbolic athletes in the history of Fenerbahçe Club, passed away in Istanbul at the age of 86 on January 13, 2012.
Scored the first penalty goal in league history
Lefter Küçükandonyadis also etched his name in history as the first player to score a penalty goal in the league.
Lefter Küçükandonyadis scored the first penalty goal in league history on March 15, 1959, when Fenerbahçe defeated Beykoz 2-1.

Lefter Küçükandonyadis was honored in the 2018-2019 season as the “Lefter Küçükandonyadis Season” by the Turkish Football Federation in memory of the national footballer.
