Fenerbahçe’s Lineup for Galatasaray Derby: Dzeko or En Nesyri?
In the 6th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, Fenerbahçe will host Galatasaray in the derby, and head coach José Mourinho has largely decided on the starting 11. Mourinho has made his decision for every position except one.
Fenerbahçe, currently in second place, two points behind their arch-rival Galatasaray, is preparing for the big match under the leadership of the Portuguese coach.
According to a report by TRT Spor, Mourinho has mostly finalized his selections.
The experienced coach will start Dominik Livaković in goal.
His choice for right-back is Mert Müldür.
Jayden Oosterwolde will play as the left-back.
Mourinho will not move away from Çağlar Söyüncü in central defense.
The center-back pairing will be completed with Alexander Djiku.
There had been curiosity about whether new signing Sofyan Amrabat would play in midfield, but Mourinho will not disrupt the structure and will start İsmail Yüksek in the number 6 role.
Fred, a key figure in midfield, will once again be one of Fenerbahçe’s most important assets in the derby.
Mourinho will also rely on Sebastian Szymański.
On the right wing, the Portuguese coach will give Dusan Tadić a chance.
The left wing will be entrusted to Allan Saint-Maximin.
The only position Mourinho hasn’t decided on yet is forward. The experienced coach will make his final decision between Edin Džeko and Youssef En-Nesyri on match day.
